Shane contacted us to help him plan a surprise proposal to his girlfriend Shamyl on the intimate beach area at Davis Islands.
Unlike some of the busier waterfront locations in Tampa Bay, this was an ideal spot because it wasn’t crowded with people who would block our shots, and it had nearby bushes that would be our cover until Shane popped the question.
As Tampa proposal photographers, we love the anticipation when the unsuspecting bride-to-be is leisurely strolling along the shoreline, not realizing that her life is about to change forever. It’s always so exciting to capture!
The setting couldn't have been more romantic, with the gentle lapping of the waves complementing the golden hues of the sun, casting a warm glow over the sands of Tampa Bay.
Shane took a deep breath, went down on one knee, and presented the ring. The joy and sheer emotion of the moment were heartwarming. Shamyl’s gasp of surprise was followed by a sweet embrace and portraits that captured their intimate bond.
The newly engaged pair weren’t the only ones overfilled with the emotion. The couple’s family and friends emerged, ready to congratulate them and revel in the happiness of the moment.
But the surprises didn't end there. Shamyl was met with yet another delightful shock, a beautifully curated boho-themed picnic, complete with flowing linens, plush cushions, pampas grass centerpieces, and gold chargers atop rattan placements. The boho theme, with its earthy tones and relaxed vibe, perfectly complemented the beach setting.
